OM_2020-03; B2B Bank Financial Services Temporary eSignature Authorization

Given the current circumstances around the COVID-19 outbreak that requires all financial advisors to work remotely and avoid face-to-face contact with a client, we have received temporary approval from B2B Bank Financial Services Inc. to accept an e-signature when utilizing their prescribed forms.

As a result, B2B Bank Financial Services has agreed to allow the use of electronic signatures for New Account Application Forms and Non-Financial Account Change Forms.

When utilizing an electronic signature, a Financial Advisor and a client can use an electronic signature for B2B business provided that:

  1. The electronic signature is obtained using DocuSign only.
  2. The client’s identity and account are verified.
  3. GP Wealth Management indemnifies B2B Bank Financial Services Inc. with respect to any loss, liability, damages, costs or expenses that may occur as a result of the acceptance of electronic signatures.

In addition, with each prescribed form that is submitted to B2B Bank Financial Services, an electronic signature authorization form must be included.

Lastly, we want to let you know that this approval is temporary and may change at any time however we will update you if this authorization expires.
